How can veneers benefit my smile?
Able to alter the color, shape, size, and alignment of your teeth, dental veneers are natural looking, long-lasting, and they benefit natural teeth by making them stronger than they were pre-treatment. Teeth treated with veneers are also highly resistant to permanent stains.
How are veneers applied?
Comprised of a thin layer of porcelain, a veneer is cemented over the front and edge of a tooth that has had part of its structure altered or removed to ensure that the best result possible is achieved.
Is everyone a candidate for veneers?
Patients with healthy teeth are likely to be ideal candidates for veneers while those with weakened teeth (caused by a fracture, decay or large dental fillings), active periodontal disease, or those without an adequate amount of enamel on their tooth surface may not be candidates. We encourage you to contact our office to determine if these options are right for you.
What type of after-care do veneers require?
Keep in mind that although veneers are durable and tough, they can be chipped or broken when exposed to significant impact or force. Also, it’s important to care for them the way you care for your natural teeth, by brushing twice and flossing once daily, and visiting our office for regular bi-annual checkups and cleanings.
